Trevor Barker retires after 40 years at QEGS

At the end of the Autumn Term we said goodbye to Trevor Barker after 40 years at QEGS. Trevor has been a form tutor, head of year, head of cricket, head of rugby and director of sport whilst at QEGS. During his tenure, QEGS has experienced remarkable sporting achievements including being recognised in the National School Sport Magazine and being in the top 20 schools for sport in the country. Between 2006 and 2018, QEGS has participated in over 20 northern and three national finals in cross country, 12 national hockey finals, two national rugby wins, 20 county cricket championships and more. We have had so many tributes to Trevor from Old Savilians, so we thank you for sharing those. Trevor will also continue to support us at Old Savilian events. Happy retirement Trevor and thank you for the past 40 years! |
